Gestamp Automotives Donates Skoda Vehicles for Women and Child Protection

Pune: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Gestamp Automotives India Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Hope for the Children Foundation, has donated five Skoda Kodiaq vehicles to public sector bodies in Pune, including the District Health Department, Rural Police Commissionerate, and Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. This move aims to enhance emergency response capabilities and support welfare programs for women and children in underserved communities.

The handover ceremony was held in Pune, where the vehicles were officially flagged off by dignitaries including Antonio Lopez, CEO – Asia Division, Gestamp Automotives, Dr. Caroline Audoir de Valter, CEO of Hope for the Children Foundation, and senior officials from police, health, and company leadership teams.

“At Gestamp Automotives, we view CSR not just as a duty but as a responsibility to uplift and empower vulnerable communities. These vehicles symbolize our commitment to improving accessibility, safety, and health outcomes for women and children,” said Antonio Lopez.

Dr. Caroline Audoir de Valter added, “This collaboration ensures essential services reach those who need them most. Together, we’re fostering safer and healthier communities.”

The initiative is focused on improving mobility, medical outreach, and real-time response capabilities, helping law enforcement and healthcare providers reach critical cases faster in remote areas.

Gestamp Automotives CSR Roadmap

During the event, Gestamp Automotives and the Hope Foundation also unveiled their CSR roadmap for FY 2025–26, reiterating a long-term vision of social impact centered on healthcare access and protection services for women and children.

This CSR initiative further strengthens Gestamp Automotives’ position as a socially responsible leader committed to sustainable community development in India.
